Stays on your device
Some toys remember things in your browser's local storage so they work better: your break-report stats, game high scores, timer and salary settings, mute setting, your Clockword progress and which disguise the boss key opens. This never leaves your device. Clear your browser's site data to erase it.
Never sent anywhere
- What you type into the Worry Shredder, Scream Into the Void, the Excuse Generator and the other generators.
- Your pay in the Salary Clicker.
- Names and notes in Send a Break. They live only inside the link you share (after the "#"), which browsers don't send to our server.
What our server keeps
- Daily counters (for example "people who clocked out today"). These are totals only. To stop people inflating them, we briefly keep a scrambled, one-way fingerprint of your IP address (a salted hash), which is reset every day.
- Wall of Sighs: sighs you post are public and anonymous. We don't store your name or IP address with them, only a salted hash used to limit spam and allow one "Same" vote per person. Sighs are automatically deleted as newer ones come in.
- Server logs: like almost every website, our hosting server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) for security and troubleshooting. These are deleted on a regular schedule.
Third parties
None. Fonts, sounds and code are all served from our own server, so visiting ClockOutZone doesn't send your data to Google, Facebook or anyone else. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add analytics or ads, we'll update this page first.
Children
ClockOutZone is meant for adults on a work break. It isn't directed at children under 13.
